IT-Transformation to SAP S/4 HANA


A team of CROWDCONSULTANTS supported an international machine tool company in transforming its IT architecture, infrastructure and heterogeneous IT application portfolio to SAP S/4 HANA.

STARTING SITUATION

• A historically evolved, complex and heterogeneous IT system landscape should be simplified by switching to SAP S/4 HANA and aligned with digital processes.

• There was hardly any experience and know-how available within the company itself, so that it had to be recruited via new hires, interim managers/specialists and consultants.

OUR APPROACH

• Support by various interim managers up to the development of appropriate professional competence within the company or successful completion of individual sub-projects.

   • A CROWDCONSULTANTS executive supported the program management in the implementation of:

   • Program planning and control;

   • Identification and recruitment of qualified service providers and specialists;

   • Coaching of the project managers.

• A CROWDCONSULTANTS executive supported CROWDCONSULTANTS with the development of

   • an operational concept for the future SAP landscape in combination with existing systems;

   • a support structure and conception of a helpdesk.

   • Several digital natives supported the programme with

   • o Set-up and implementation of a PMO,

   • o Regular status reports and planning updates,

   • o initial coaching of the subproject managers.

THE RESULTS

• Successful program start and progress to the going live of the first applications.

• No time delay due to competent support until successively handing over to newly recruited employees.
